The Shaolin Forms at Australian Tiger and Crane holds its mysteries and secrets.  If you understand the forms, you understand the art.  You must constantly seek the original intent of that form.  When you allow the form to be done by you as opposed to do the form, you will begin to gain the understanding and awareness of the form.  As you empty your cup each time you approach each form, the form will teach you more and more Photos at the foot of the page depict some of the Chi Kungs taught.

 

The design of the logo uses the colour green (liver) red (heart) yellow (spleen) white (metal) black (kidneys) in accordance with the five element system.

As the name Tiger and Crane implies it is a synergy of both animals - hard (external) and soft (internal concept).

CHI KUNG (QI GONG) is translated as energy work.
The practise of Chi Kung involves combining certain postures with proper breath usage to actually increase the level of energy of "chi" of the practitioner.

There are basically two types of Chi Kung - external and internal.

EXTERNAL TRAINING (yang) relates to the movement of forms, the external movement stimulates the flow of chi.

INTERNAL TRAINING (yin) relates to the stillness e.g. standing practice or meditation forms.

TAI CHI

The system as taught at Australian Tiger and Crane is based on classical styles, easy to learn requiring a minimum of time and space for relaxation and health. The graceful movements will help to build the body's energy, aids concentration and joint mobility.

After you have completed your Tai Chi - Chi Kung routine you will feel calm and refreshed. If practised in the morning, it will wake up the body and will prepare you for the day ahead. Practised at night, it will relax and prepare you for a good night's sleep.

Tai Chi - Chi Kung at Australian Tiger and Crane is a non-competitive system to refresh and rejuvenate body, mind and spirit.
